The current expanded criminalization of immigrant communities and the threats to repeal the Affordable Care Act has ignited a wave of fear preventing community members from accessing health services and informing themselves of the health resources that are available to them.
The UCLA Labor Center’s Dream Resource Center’s Health Ambassador Fellows are leading “Our Voices, Our Health: Immigrant Wellness Tour.” From March through May, the tour will host regional events in Bakersfield, San Bernardino, Long Beach, and Sacramento.
In partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice-LA, Clinica Monsenor Romero, United Farm Workers Foundation, Brown Issues, and the Inland Empire, Immigrant Coalition for Immigrant Justice, the “Our Voices, Our Health: Immigrant Wellness Tour” will provide a safe space for immigrant communities to receive holistic health services, learn available health and legal resources, and build community through story sharing. Join an event in your region and resist by taking care of your health. Your voice and your health matter.
