Building Healthy Communities: Long Beach has awarded eleven community groups a total of $10,000 to host innovative programming designed to improve community health in West and Central Long Beach. Awarded to informal community groups and non-profit organizations, the BHC Long Beach mini-grants have distributed $46,632 to forty-five projects in West and Central Long Beach over the last four years.
BHC Long Beach mini-grants are awarded each year to provide opportunities for learning and development, support creative projects that enhance the collaborative work of BHC Long Beach, support community engagement, and help address the issues outlined in the BHC Long Beach Community Action Plan, which outlines key health disparities in West and Central Long Beach.
